Tudor
The romance of Old England
With arched tops, thick planks, and wrought-iron details, Tudor doors balance storybook charm with the weight and permanence that define true Tudor architecture.
Scaled for brick and timber façades, each one anchors the entry with character that feels as enduring as it is dramatic.

Start with the outline of the doorway
A shaped top and substantial wood panels can connect a Tudor door with the masonry, timber, and trim around it. Explore solid wood designs made to the dimensions and profile of your opening, with panel and glass choices to suit the entrance.
Look at the Tudor entrance as a whole: the door’s outline, the masonry around it, and any timber or wood trim nearby. A broad wood panel can give the eye a quieter area beside textured brick or stone. Where the top is shaped, compare the rise of the arch with the proportions of the panels below.
For an existing Tudor arch, measurements or a template establish the curve as well as the width and height. We can help you determine which details to provide. The chosen panel layout can then be considered within that outline.
Balance solid panels and glass
A paneled Tudor front door gives the wood grain and profiles a prominent place in the entry. Glass brings daylight into the hall and changes the view from both sides. Consider whether you want a smaller glazed area or a more open arrangement beneath the arch.
Explore our arch and round top exterior doors for designs that can be adapted to Tudor and other arch profiles. Glazed exterior versions use insulated tempered glass, with decorative options by design. That collection explains the slab and pre-hung choices for the opening.
Coordinate a second door or an interior opening
If the entry also needs a screen door, its curve must work with the main door and the mounting frame. Our arched screen and storm doors are custom-built to the dimensions and profile supplied for the opening. Compare their rails with the door behind them so its glass and panel details remain visible.
Removable screen and glass inserts provide seasonal choices within that shaped wood frame. For curved doorways inside the home, browse our Arch & Round Top collections and choose the interior application. Related profiles can continue the design beyond the entrance.
Review the shape before we build
African Mahogany is our standard wood, with a grain that can complement a stained Tudor entry. Other species should be selected for the location and exposure. We supply the wood unfinished, with guidance for sealing and finishing it before installation.
Choose a design above to customize online. Before any door order is built, you receive drawings to review and approve. For a shaped door, that gives you a chance to see the curve, panel layout, and dimensions together.
