Start with the shape of your opening
Keep the curve that gives your doorway its character. Our solid wood arch and round top interior doors are made to your dimensions and opening profile, with panel and glass designs to suit the rooms on either side.
A shallow arch and a full round top can have the same overall width and height but very different curves. When replacing a door, the outline of the existing jamb matters as much as the dimensions. We build arched interior doors around those details, so you can retain a shaped opening when updating the room.

Carry the design through the curve
Choose wood panels for a closed view between rooms, or a glass design where you want light to pass through. The top rail and upper panels or glass sections can be shaped to follow the door’s outline. Round, arch, Tudor and Gothic top designs offer different ways to relate that outline to the architecture.

Plan the frame and surrounding trim
A slab can be made for a suitable existing jamb. For a new frame, choose a pre-hung interior unit with jambs, hinges and stops. Include wall depth, swing direction and hardware preparation in your selections; these affect how the door sits and operates in the opening.
The casing deserves attention at the same time as the door. Consider its width and profile around the curve, especially where the top approaches a ceiling or meets nearby trim. Explore casing and trim to coordinate the surrounding woodwork.
