Interior doors are often seen together along a hallway or between adjoining rooms. The number and shape of their panels, the width of the rails, and the surrounding casing all contribute to how those spaces look. When replacing a door, start with the details you want to carry through from the rest of the house.

Solid hardwood you can see and feel
Our solid wood interior doors are built from kiln-dried hardwood with traditional stile-and-rail construction. The vertical stiles and horizontal rails form the frame around the panels. Floating panels allow for the wood’s natural movement as indoor humidity changes.

Standard thickness is 1½ inches, with a 1¾-inch option available. Along with the panel layout and hardware, thickness affects the weight and feel of the door, so it’s worth considering when coordinating new doors with existing ones.

Your interior door can be made in any of our 17 wood options, including our standard African Mahogany. Its natural grain offers an attractive starting point for a stained finish; cherry, oak, and walnut give you other grain patterns and colors to consider. If you plan to paint, we can help you select a suitable paint-grade wood. Each door arrives smooth and unfinished so you can coordinate the finish with nearby trim or cabinetry.

Custom sizing for existing and new openings
We build to your measurements, including nonstandard sizes. A slab door lets you retain an existing jamb and trim when they’re suitable for reuse. A pre-hung interior door includes a new jamb, hinges, and stops, with the door fitted to its frame.

Paired doors are available for wider openings, and we can prepare your door for the hardware you choose. If you’re working with an older frame, our measuring guidance and team can help you work through the details before the door is built.
