Choose coastal style doors around the light, views, and airflow you want in your home. Glass, Dutch, and louvered designs offer different ways to connect rooms and porches, with solid wood frames made to your measurements.

A full-glass door leaves more of the opening available for light and a view. A half-glass layout balances glazing with a solid lower panel. Compare the divisions in the door with nearby windows so the entrance feels connected to the rest of the house.

Our glass exterior doors use insulated tempered glass for the main entrance. Clear glass preserves a view outside; decorative options change how much can be seen through it. Consider the view into the home from a path or neighboring property as well as the outlook from inside.

Choose how you want to let air through

Dutch exterior doors let you open the upper half of a kitchen or porch doorway while leaving the bottom closed. Glass admits daylight with the door shut; opening the top adds airflow. Consider whether you want that open connection or the insect protection of a separate screen door.

For screened ventilation, explore our louver screen and storm doors. Angled slats interrupt direct views through the louvered section, while screen allows air through. Privacy depends on the layout and viewing angle. Glass closes airflow through the area it covers, with fixed or removable arrangements depending on the design.

Select wood and finish for the setting
A stained finish shows the grain of our standard African Mahogany; paint can coordinate the door with shutters or surrounding trim. For an outdoor opening, discuss the porch cover and exposure to sun and rain when choosing the wood and finish.
