Double Doors for Exterior & Interior Applications
Any Vintage Door design can be made into a double interior or exterior door. All designs are available as insulating exterior pre-hung door units with energy efficient Low E glass. All are available as interior pre-hung door units. Interior and exterior door slabs along with the astragal and mortise flush bolt hardware can be purchased without the jambs if you must replace only the doors. All standard designs can be transformed into round, arch, Tudor arch or Gothic arch top doors. Each is handcrafted with craftsmanship and care to your required size accurate to the 1/16" of an inch.
Double Exterior Features:
Solid wood stile & rail construction 1 ¾” standard door thickness. Clear insulated tempered glass, upgradeable to Low E, with or without argon. Decorative glass choices available. 2 ¼ thickness upgrade available. 1 5/8 thick raised panels. Hinge finish is your choice. Entry units are exterior pre-hung with 4 x 4 sq. corner ball bearing hinges on weather-stripped rabbeted jambs, complete with astragals and an adjustable mahogany threshold. Pair with any sidelight or transom combination to build a custom double entry unit.
Double Interior Features:
1 ½ thick solid wood stile & rail construction. No finger joints or veneers. All interior doors are available at 1 ¾ thick for a more substantial look and feel. Pre-hung units feature ¾ thick matching solid wood jambs, with square corner hinges. Clear non insulated tempered glass is a standard option. Decorative glue chip, aquatex, seedy, beveled and stained glass are all available upon request.
