Stile & Rail Options for Your Door

The following drawings illustrate the male and female cope & stick joinery used in both our interior and exterior doors. Cross rails (horizontal door components with female cuts on each end) mate with side stiles (vertical door components with male cuts on their inside edge). Both interior and exterior doors are handcrafted using cope and stick construction, reinforced with 1/2" hardwood dowels. All can be combined with any raised or flat panel design. T&G profiles are used in conjunction with applied molding designs and also for flat shaker style panels. Other profiles can be custom made if your door project or renovation requires a closer match than what is shown below. Set up fees will be charged for custom profiles not shown.
