The DL304 Louvered Dutch Door is made from 100 percent solid wood. We do not use any veneers or finger joints in any of our solid wood doors. This particular design features a double raised panel in the lower portion of the door and a double louvered top section. Louvers are open to allow airflow. We could if needed ad a screen upon request for exterior doors. Spanish cedar, African mahogany and vertical grain fir and Honduran mahogany are all excellent exterior wood species. Poplar is a paint grade interior option. Other woods such as maple, red oak, cherry knotty alder and knotty pine should be used on interior locations or only exterior applications where there is a large porch overhang.
